Hey, I'm James.

I'm a software developer from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I've been in the industry for over ten years, and I've got a knack for starting up personal projects — some of which I abandon after a few days, and some of which I dedicate grueling years to.

Most recently I built and sold two daily games, Kinda Hard Golf and Squishy Billiards. Before that I worked on developer tooling and content platforms, bridging the gap between well-engineered websites and content-creation for non-developers.

There's been a big ol' pile of lessons in between all these endeavors, and I like writing about them.
